1. Closed for New Year Holidays

The Kitakyushu International Association will be closed from December 29th (Sun) to January 3rd (Fri) for the year-end and New Year holidays.
Please contact us before 16:00 on December 27th (Fri) if you are making enquiries that require foreign language support, and before 17:30 on December 28th(Sat) for other services.

2. Kitakyushu International Manga Festival 2019

Exhibiting, (1) “Busan Story,” a collaborative exhibition between young Japanese and Korean cartoonists, (2) joint exhibition by cartoonists from Kyushu and Chugoku regions, (3) and an exhibition of excellent works in the International Manga Awards.

2. First Sunrise of the New Year at Mt. Sarakura

Mt. Sarakura, a symbol of Kitakyushu city and famous for its night view, is also known as the spot for viewing the first sunrise of the new year and attracts many people every year.
You can take a cable car and a slop car to the top of the mountain with an altitude of 622 meters, or climb up the mountain trail while enjoying a hike.
