About the Kokura Information Office
The Kokura Information Office is the Kokura region's information base of the Kitakyushu International Association. Here we provide a variety of consultations, as well as access to a wide range of information and resources for foreign residents living in Kitakyushu.
You can also borrow books from the library or spend time in the exchange lounge here too.
Information Desk
Here you will find lifestyle information for foreign residents living in Kitakyushu, along with various flyers and pamphlets for events in the area.
We also provide other information and consultation at the counter.

Message Board
The message board is available for people to post or read messages about teaching or learning different languages, making new friends, and selling or giving away possessions.
Exchange Lounge
In the exchange lounge you can read a range of books and newspapers, chat with other visitors or just relax and take a look around (no eating and drinking though please!)

Library Corner
Here we have a vast array of travel and study abroad guides, books related to Japanese and foreign language learning, as well as a number of foreign novels and books. You can return these books to the Kitakyushu International Association in Yahata, while books borrowed in Yahata can also be returned to the Kokura Information Office in Kokura. We also have various Japanese and English language newspapers available to read.
International Cooperation Corner
Here we have regularly updated information from a variety of international cooperation sources, including ODAs (Official Development Assistance), NGOs (Nongovernment Organizations) and international bodies. We can also organize discussions and consultations with International Cooperation volunteers from JICA, who have experience of living and volunteering abroad. At these you can consult on a wide variety of topics, ranging from volunteering in developing countries to development education. Reservation is required.
