The resource corner is for the benefit of foreign people studying Japanese, and for those teaching Japanese to others. Located in the library at the International Association in Yahata, the resource corner offers a wide array of Japanese learning materials and information. These materials are available to borrow, and you can also make consultations about learning Japanese here. Please feel free to come and visit.
The Resource Corner is recommended for:
- Those wanting to become Japanese teachers.
- Foreign people wanting to study Japanese.
- Those who are currently teaching Japanese in the area.
- Elementary or Junior High School teachers with foreign pupils.

In collaboration with our ‘Consultation Service for Foreigners’, we will also offer advice on issues such as Japanese learning, education for non-native Japanese speakers, and Japanese study materials (There may be times when the persons in charge are unavailable. Please check the consultation times by mail or telephone in advance)

In order to borrow books and study materials, you must become a library member (two books at a time for up to two weeks each) or a Resource Corner member.
Those who wish to register as a library member can do so for free, by bringing a form of personal identification with their address on it.

Resource Corner Membership
Those involved in the support of foreign residents, or in Japanese learning support, can register as Resource Corner Members.
Those who wish to register as a member can do so for free, by bringing a form of personal identification with their address on it, along with something to show what activities they are involved in.
This membership entitles you to borrow up to five books at a time, for a period of up to one month.
