Thank you all for attending the 6th Oshaberi Japanese Speech Contest
Twenty-five foreign residents living in Kitakyushu and the surrounding areas gave wonderful speeches on topics of their own choice. Around 250 people came to hear them on the day!
The 6th Oshaberi Japanese Speech Contest
When: January 31st (Sun) 14:00-17:30
Where: Kitakyushu Municipal Museum of Art, Kurosaki Citizen Gallery,
COMCITY 3F, Kurosaki 3-15-2, Yahata-nishi ward
Twenty-five contestants from various walks of life took part. Technical interns, housewives, students, language teachers e.t.c all gave fantastic speeches.
The contestants hailed from countries from all over the world including: Vietnam, Indonesia, China, the Phillipines, Korea, America, Ireland and Mongolia!
The “Touched My Heart” prizes were decided by audience vote. The adjudication was not based off of Japanese ability.

Congratulations to our prize winners and thank you to every contestant for providing us with such a wonderful array of speeches to hear on the day!
Cable TV J:COM also came to film on the day. The Oshaberi Japanese Speech Contest is expected to appear as a 3 minute segment on the “Daily News” show on J:COM channel 11 on the 4th, 6th and 7th of February. So for those of you who missed the event it's self, have no fear! No can still catch the highlights on TV!
